Karena joins TLC Anthology Project as a new author presenting three chapters that calls to question one's foundation of accountability and how the lack thereof leads to unfulfilled relationships and unfavorable consequences.

Karena's Bio
Karena Washington currently resides in Houston, TX as a 4th grade teacher. She is certified in EC-6, Special Education, and ESL. She received her Masters in Teaching from Fontbonne University and has been teaching for seven years. She has worked with kids ages 5-18 in various settings, including a developmental center, a juvenile center, and in the educational setting since 2001.
Karena has a passion for working with kids and helping them become the best version of themselves. Having been awarded with Teacher of the Year during the 2016-17 school year at Parkway Central Middle School in Missouri, she is grateful for the opportunities afforded to impact the lives of many young people.
In 2019, she began offering tutoring services through her business, Unabridged. Her mission is to help kids in grades K-6 improve and strengthen their reading skills.
